Sharing Singapore Polytechnic’s Education Framework with Korean Educators

On 15 and 16 January, Singapore Polytechnic International hosted a two-day learning visit for Educators from the Institute of Higher Learning in Korea, featuring presentations by Mr Toh Ser Khoon, Managing Director of SPI, and Dr Lim Joo Ghee, Director of SP’s School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE). The programme provided participants with an overview of SP’s education framework and its approach to developing industry-relevant, future-ready curricula.

The sessions introduced SP’s curriculum design principles, including the adoption of the CDIO and Design Thinking frameworks, which support applied learning, continuous improvement, and strong industry alignment. Participants also gained insights into how SP leverages artificial intelligence to support assisted teaching and enhance learning experiences across programmes

In addition, the programme highlighted SP’s Continuing Education and Training (CET) ecosystem, outlining how SP supports lifelong learning and workforce upskilling through flexible and responsive training pathways. Together, the sessions offered a coherent view of how pedagogy, curriculum design, AI-enabled teaching, and CET strategies are integrated within SP’s education model to support learner development across different stages of education and professional growth.
