On 15 September 2026, Singapore Polytechnic (SP) welcomed 18 students and representatives from Jeonnam Technical High School, South Korea, for a learning visit to SP’s Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC).
The visit introduced students to Singapore’s manufacturing landscape and the shift towards Industry 4.0. Through AMC’s three learning zones, students explored digital workflows and data visualisation, collaborative robots and connected systems, as well as digital twins, real-time analytics and AI-driven process optimisation.
The programme also included a student networking and cultural exchange session, where JTH students connected with their SP peers through conversations on school life, hobbies and culture.
One student shared, “It was interesting to hear directly from Singaporean students about their school and hobbies. I also enjoyed sharing Korean snacks and introducing some parts of our culture to them.”
The visit brought together technical learning and cultural exchange, giving participants a broader appreciation of advanced manufacturing and international collaboration.
