system and all parts of the country are
easily accessible through the Mass Rapid
Transit (MRT) system and bus services.

2. MRT Services (http://www.smrt.com.sg)
Singapore's mass rapid transit system comprises
3 main lines (North-South, East-West and
North-East). The Singapore Polytechnic is
on the East-West Line. Single trip ticket
to Dover station is about S$1.80.
3. Fare Information
Passengers may pay cash on buses (exact
fare) and the MRT, or use an ez-link card
available at Transitlink Ticket Sales offices
or the Passenger Service Center at MRT stations.
The ez-link can be used for buses, MRT and
LRT.

THE CHEAPER WAYS TO TRAVEL
Tertiary Student ez-link Concession
Card
Students of the Singapore Polytechnic may
apply for EZ-link Concession Cards for travel
on MRT, SBS and TIBS. Instructions on application
for EZ-link card will be given to you during
your enrolment.
To enjoy travel concession with the Tertiary
Student ez-link Card, you can purchase a
Bus Concession Pass (BCP) and/or a Train
Concession Pass (TCP) from any TransitLink
Ticket Office up to seven days before the
start of the month.
Bus Concession Pass (BCP)
Priced at S$52.00 allows unlimited travel
on SBS Transit and Tibs buses (except Express,
Night, Sentosa and CSS Services) for about
one month (calculated as n to n - 1 day
: where n is the effective date of the BCP).
It is non-refundable unless the concession
eligibility has expired.
Train Concession Pass (TCP)
Priced at S$45.00. It is valid for up to
four rides a day on the MRT and/or LRT for
about one month (calculated as n to n-1
day: where n is the effective date of the
TCP). Similarly, the TCP is non-refundable.
Both Bus and Train Concessions
(HCP)
Priced at $97.00 HCP allows unlimited bus
concession travel on basic fare bus services
(except Express, Night, Sentosa and CSS
services). It is valid up to four rides
per day on the MRT and/or LRT for about
one month.
Air Concession (http://www.statravel.com.sg)
The Students Travel Association (STA) operates
a branch on campus at Foodcourt 5 (Tel:67773688
Fax : 67755590). Special deals are available
for students.
International students can purchase the
“International Student Card”
at S$15.00 which entitles them to discounted
travel, discounts at selected food and entertainment
outlets and tourist spots. For more details,
