Application Period & On-line Application Form |  Application Procedures | Expected Date  |  Offer

Students holding GCE 'O' or 'A' Levels (Singapore Cambridge), Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) and ITE qualifications,  please refer to www.sp.edu.sg for application procedures.

Applicants may apply directly to SPI or approach our appointed Recruitment Service Providers (RSPs) for admissions enquiries and applications to SPI.

Our RSPs provide comprehensive and professional services to prospective students.  Please contact them to find out how their service may benefit you.

Applicants are advised to read the application procedures  before proceeding to apply on-line.  

All applications are to be submitted on-line within the application period.  Any other forms of application will not be accepted.  On-line application form is only available during application period.  A non-refundable application fee is payable.

Students with Brunei GCE O levels or IGCSE/GCSE results to be released sometime in Jan/Feb, please email us at enquiry@spi.edu.sg for application procedures.

Singaporeans & S'pore PRs who had missed the above application period (or those with results that will be released in late Jan) may also apply during the Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE) (please apply upon the release of GCE 'O' level results which usually lasts for 5 calendar days). 

For those with IB from Singapore Schools whose results will be released in early Jan, the application period coincides with that of the DAE (opens the day of GCE 'O' level results release and lasts for 5 calendar days).

Meeting the minimum entry requirements is not a guarantee that an applicant will be shortlisted or selected for the Entrance Test. Shortlisting or selection will depend on merits and competition for limited course vacancies in the year of application.  Shortlisting or selection for Entrance Test lies solely within the discretion of the Singapore Polytechnic. Singapore Polytechnic also reserves the right to withdraw any course.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR ADMISSION TO SINGAPORE POLYTECHNIC 申请程序

Step 1:

Check that you meet the minimum entry criteria as set out in our admission criteria webpage. You must not hold any GCE 'O' or 'A' Levels (Singapore Cambridge), Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) or ITE qualifications.

Step 2:

Submit your on-line application form during the application period.  On-line application form is available at the table above.  

You are advised to select your preferred Entrance Test Centre and choice of courses after due consideration. 

SPI will correspond with you by email during the application process to convey messages such as document requests, application outcome, entrance test notification, etc.  Please provide a correct and functional email address and maintain your email account regularly.  SP/SPI will not be responsible for undelivered emails and their consequences as a result of undelivered emails.

Step 3:

Print and complete Form A.  Please use Form A as a checklist for the submission of supporting documents and payment.

Form A will be available for downloading when details of application period is available.

Application fees are non-refundable.  Click here for the amount of Application fee payable.  The Singapore cheque/bank draft/cashier's order must be made payable to Singapore Polytechnic International Pte Ltd.   Please ensure that the bank draft issued by overseas bank can be cleared by a bank in Singapore.  A cashier's order can be purchased at any bank in Singapore.  Cash payment and money order will not be accepted.

Step 4:

All supporting documents and application fees stated in Form A must reach Singapore Polytechnic International by the closing date.

An inaccurately completed form or an incomplete form will render your entire application invalid. 

Applications without supporting documents or applications received after the closing date will not be processed.

If supporting documents are not in English, a notarized English translation must be submitted. Please do not send original documents.  All documents submitted will not be returned

Inaccurate or false information or omission of material information submitted to SP/SPI will render your application invalid.  SP/SPI reserves the right to reject applications that are incomplete or inaccurate.  Persons admitted on the basis of inaccurate or false information may be expelled and/or subject to disciplinary action.

Applicants will bear courier fees for documents sent to/from SPI/SP in the course of application.

OFFER OF CONDITIONAL ADMISSION TO SINGAPORE POLYTECHNIC

Applicants will be offered conditional admission to a  full-time course at Singapore Polytechnic (SP) on one of the following basis by email:

1.  Tuition Grant basis#

2.  Full Fee paying basis

Offer is made based on merit and competition for limited course vacancies for that intake.  

The acceptance of an application does not constitute any commitment to admit any candidate to a course at SP.  Successful applicants must accept an offer of admission within the period specified in the letter of offer, otherwise the offer is deemed to have lapsed.  SP may withdraw an offer of admission to any applicant or de-register a student who has made a false statement or withheld any information in the application for admission or during the enrolment.  Selection for admission lies solely within the discretion of Singapore Polytechnic.

Applicants are advised to ensure that sufficient financial resources have been set aside to complete the diploma course.

 

# Tuition Grant students will have to sign a deed with the Singapore Government.  In return for the benefit of subsidised education, the students will be bonded to work in Singapore for three years upon completion of the course.  Two sureties who are above 21 years old (below 65 years old) and are of any nationality  are required for executing the deed.   The tuition grant amount is subject to revision by Ministry of Education.   Tuition Grant students who reject tuition grant or failed to sign the deed with the Singapore Government will have to pay the full fees and GST on the tuition grant amount.
