Fee Structure for Academic Year 2008/2009

APPLICATION FEE
A non-refundable application fee is payable as follows.

FULL-TIME STUDENTS
The course fees are payable in two (2) instalments. The 1st Semester fees are payable before enrolment and the second in the 2nd Semester (1st two weeks). The course fees consist of Tuition Fee** and Other Fees.

Note:

i.  All fees and amount listed above are subject to changes.
ii. All fees listed above includes 7% Goods and Services Tax (GST)
except for Students' Union Entrance Fee, FO Packet and Document Handling fees which are not subjected to GST (the items are included in the Other Miscellaneous fees).
iii.  Group Hospitalisation & Surgical Insurance and Document Handling fees are applicable to international students only. These amount are included in the miscellaneous fees.
iv. Other Miscellaneous fees are payable once every calendar year.  Annual Administrative fees are payable once every year.
v.   Male students will have to pay an additional amount for a SP Tie.
vi.  Tuition Grant students will have to sign a deed with the Singapore Government.  In return for the benefit of subsidised education, the students will be bonded to work in Singapore for three years upon completion of the course.  Two sureties who are above 21 years old and are of any nationality  are required for executing the deed.   The tuition grant amount is subject to revision by Ministry of Education.
vii.  Tuition Grant students who reject tuition grant or failed to sign the deed with the Singapore Government will have to pay the full fees and GST on the tuition grant amount.

**The amount of tuition fee and tuition grant are subject to revision from that of 2007/2008 by the Ministry of Education.  For 2008/2009, S'pore Permanent Residents and Foreign Students will have to pay 10% and 50% more than that of Singapore Citizens  respectively.

REFUND POLICY

Refund

Unsuccessful enrolment due to false or inaccurate documents and/or information, impersonation,  deliberate omission of relevant information including, but not limited to, failure to meet the conditions as set out in the offer of conditional admission.
 
Refund Full Tuition Fee, other Miscellaneous fees (except for Document Handling Fee) less $1500.

No refund for all other fees paid.
Withdrawal form submitted before the commencement of term in Semester 1 or 2
Refund Full Tuition Fee, Annual Administrative Fee less $500, Full Examination Fee, Sports and Miscellaneous Fee. 

No refund for all other fees paid.

Withdrawal form submitted within the 1st week of Semester 1 or 2
Refund 75% of Tuition Fee, 75% of Examination Fee, Sports and Miscellaneous Fee. 

No refund for all other fees paid.

Withdrawal form submitted after the 1st week of Semester 1 or 2
No refund or carrying forward of all fees paid



Fees are payable for withdrawal after the start of the semester.

All property belonging to Singapore Polytechnic must be returned and all outstanding bills must be settled prior to the submission of the Application Form for Withdrawal from Course.
